Life Bridges serves special education students who have finished their 4 years of high school, received all TEA required credits and qualify through receiving modified or alternative curriculum during their high school career.

The Life Bridges Program focuses on helping these students bridge the gap between high school and independence.
Students new to Comal ISD and who believe they qualify for services through the 18+ Life Bridges Program should follow the process below:
  1. Students register at the traditional Comal ISD high school in their attendance zone (Canyon High School, Canyon Lake High School, Davenport High School, Pieper High School, or Smithson Valley High School). The high school will verify the transcript and notify the Life Bridges campus administrator of students who qualify for the Life Bridges Program in accordance with the Texas Education Code.
  2. A Transfer ARD will be held at Life Bridges to create a transitional IEP for students who qualify for the program.
All students who will be served through the Life Bridges Program must first register at the high school they would attend within the CISD district if not in the 18+ Transition Program.
