Feb. 10, 2022 - Giving back to the community has become a tradition for the Canyon Lake High School Hawks Baseball team which has hosted a food drive for the Canyon Lake Resource & Recreation Center’s (CRRC) Food Pantry for five years.
In January, the players lead a week-long food collection drive at CLHS. They followed it up with another collection at Brookshire Brothers on a Saturday. From the combined food drives, the team was able to deliver several pallets of food along with $250 in cash to the pantry.
Giving back to the community which supports them, is something head coach Victor Escamilla encourages every player to do.
